We recently visited The Met in Bury to deliver our Introduction to Ukulele workshop for the Meet Me at The Met community group - and it was wonderfully well received. Thank you to everyone who took part!
About the Group
Meet Me at The Met is a social arts group for anyone aged 50 and over, meeting fortnightly on Monday mornings at The Met - Bury's award-winning live music venue and theatre, run by the Bury Metropolitan Arts Association charity. From puppetry to textiles, the group tries a bit of everything, and this time it was ukuleles.
The Workshop
Our two-hour Introduction to Ukulele session is designed for complete beginners and novice players: the best starting advice, foundation techniques, and help ironing out any bad habits before they take hold. Intermediate players get plenty from it too - solid fundamentals are where the good stuff grows from.
No experience or instrument is required - we bring the ukuleles.
